Binham Priory

Some photographs taken at Binham Priory in North Norfolk. The Priory was founded in 1091 and somehow it never seemed to flourish. Many of the priors were either incompetent or simply dishonest and by the time the community was disbanded at the Reformation only 6 monks remained. Today however the west end of the original nave forms a parish church.
